Our Three to Get Married Marriage Preparation Program draws upon the best in contemporary psychology, practical wisdom from experienced married couples, and the beauty of the Catholic Church’s teachings on marriage and family life to provide couples with the best foundation on which to build a successful marriage. Our program aims to provide each couple with a reflective and in-depth preparation for a joyful, faith-filled marriage—based on love that not only endures but actually grows stronger year after year.

When: April 6 & 7, 2024 (two day program), Saturday 8:30am-6pm and Sunday 8:30am-1pm

St. Joseph Saturdays are retreats open to the public that encourage young professionals to “look upon work with the eyes of faith” and see God’s presence in their vocations and professional lives. Retreats include time for guided reflections, group discussion, confession, and Mass. They especially encourage reflection on the life of our YCP patron, St. Joseph the Worker, and the St. Joseph prayer we recite as a YCP community at the end of each event.

The theme for the Adult Theology series this year is “Introduction to Catholic Moral Teaching.” The talk on Tuesday will be on “The Virtue of Charity.”

The class meets downstairs in the church hall. The parish provides hot and cold beverages. Feel free to bring snacks to share.

Join fellow young adult Catholics for Greater Bridgeport’s monthly young adult Mass! Confession and Adoration with Praise and Worship starts at 6, followed by Mass celebrated by Fr. Andrew LaFleur of St. Mary’s Parish in Bethal. Then stick around after Mass for fellowship and goodies!

St. Ed’s Young Adults presents a presentation by Siena Counseling, which is Guided by a Catholic-Christian vision of the human person and is committed to helping their clients and communities flourish.

TWO EVENTS HAPPENING:
1. Women’s Holy Hour – All women are invited to join us for an hour of adoration in the church. Confessions will be offered at this time.

2. Men’s Bible Study – All young adult men (ages 18-35) are invited to partake in a Bible Study session, led by Kevin Brunner, in the Monsignor Maguire Room. Tonight’s theme: “Following Jesus as Priest, Prophet, and King.”

Note: After both of these events, all young adults (ages 18-35) are invited to join us for social time at Uncorked!

Our Adult Faith Formation series this year explores the theme “Our Life in Christ: Introduction to Catholic Moral Teaching.” The theme of Tuesday’s talk will be “The First Commandment.”

What is the virtue of religion? Can someone be “just a good person” without being “religious”? How do we worship God in “spirit and in truth”? Do superstition and idolatry still present a risk in our own time? Does our veneration of saints and holy images go against the First Commandment?
