RAM Dating Series for Singles

The RAM Series is a small-group study where singles can learn a logical and Biblical sequence for pacing a dating relationship in a healthy way so that they can follow their hearts without overlooking or minimizing warning signs. In this six-week series, singles are taught that when they guard their hearts by building a dating relationship in the safe zone, they can use their heads to explore the five strongest predictors of what a partner will be like in a long-term relationship, and specifically, marriage. They are put in the acronym FACES™ (Family background. Attitudes and actions of the conscience, Compatibility potential, Examples of relationship patterns, Skills of healthy relationships)

The central teaching framework of the series is the Relationship Attachment Model™ (RAM) – an interactive tool that identifies the five key bonds that make up relationships: Know (exploring key areas of a partner with talk, togetherness, and over time), Trust (forming an accurate trust-belief of a partner), Rely (meeting meaningful needs within a relationship), Commit (investing in a partner and defining your relationship), and Touch (expressing affection while practicing boundaries in sexual closeness).

The RAM Series at St. Cecilia - St. Gabriel will occur over six weeks. All sessions will take place in the parish rectory from 7 - 9 PM. The cost for participation is $15 per individual.

October 5th, 2023- Session Two: Exploring the Influences of Family Background
October 12th, 2023- Session Three: Exploring the Health of the Conscience and the Potential for Compatibility
October 19th, 2023- Session Four: Exploring the Examples of Scripts and Skills in a Relationship
October 26th, 2023- Session Five: Building a Safe Trust and a Mutual Reliance in a Relationship
November 2nd, 2023- Session Six: Honoring the Bonding Power of Commitment and Touch
