Ignatian Prayer Retreat (Sisters of Life)

Who is this retreat for?

This retreat is for men and women 18 and older, who are new to Villa Maria Guadalupe, who are new to Villa Maria Guadalupe, or who have not been on retreat with us in the past two years.

What is this retreat about?

This is a silent retreat where you will be taught how to pray in the tradition of St. Ignatius of Loyola (meditation, contemplation, hearing God’s voice, explanation of the “Examen” prayer, etc.) In addition to conferences on prayer given by our chaplain / retreat director, time will be given for practicing Ignatian meditation. The weekend also includes Mass on Saturday and Sunday, opportunities for Sacramental Confession and Eucharistic adoration.

Villa Maria Guadalupe Retreat Center is a place of renewal, hope, and mercy under the protection of the Blessed Mother. Drawing from the liturgy and teachings of the Catholic Church, the retreats we offer are centered on the Eucharist. The rest, quiet, and prayer at Villa Maria Guadalupe will strengthen retreatants, deepen their spiritual lives, and help them to be “people of life and for life” more fully.

Non-Refundable Deposit Information:

We ask for a $50* non-refundable deposit to confirm your registration, as a portion of your total retreat donation. While Villa Maria Guadalupe is donation-only, it may be helpful to know that the total expense for one person over a weekend is about $200 (i.e. a $50 deposit and a $150 donation upon arrival, totaling $200, would cover the entire cost of your retreat). We are grateful for whatever you are willing/able to give!
